MA Announces Next Offshore Wind Projects

With these project announcements, Massachusetts reaffirms its offshore wind leadership. On the heels of one project breaking ground and a second beginning its federal review process, getting two more in the queue demonstrates that the Commonwealth has no intention of slowing down. Responsibly developed offshore wind power offers an unmatched opportunity to rise to our climate and energy challenges while delivering jobs to communities where they’re needed most. The inclusion of plans for a manufacturing plant at Brayton Point is especially exciting news for job creation and economic development. We applaud the Baker administration for raising the bar today and selecting projects that will invest in Salem, Fall River, and Massachusetts as a whole. We look forward to working with all involved to ensure these projects engage communities and protect wildlife every step of the way.
