What does membership entail?
There are three types of membership: Coalition Partners, Campaign Endorsers, and Business Supporters (see below for descriptions). All member organizations support the mission of the New England for Offshore Wind campaign and embrace the campaign’s core values.
What is a Coalition Partner?
Partners are voting members of New England for Offshore Wind who participate in meetings and drive Coalition strategy and activities. These organizations are committed to the goals, priorities, and values of the campaign. Qualifications:
- Demonstrate commitment to increasing offshore wind as an energy source in New England
- Expertise on energy policy, policy advocacy, business strategy, or grassroots organizing
- Dedicate staff time to Coalition activities, including meetings, supporting advocacy, outreach/recruitment, etc.
- Organization logo will be listed on newenglandforoffshorewind.org
- Organization name will be listed on Coalition letterhead
What is a Campaign Endorser?
Endorsers are non-voting organizations supporting New England for Offshore Wind. These organizations are committed to the goals, priorities, and values of the campaign. Qualifications and expectations include:
- Willingness to participate in opportunities for advocacy as developed by the coalition, including signing letters, attending lawmaker education days, social media engagement, etc.
- Organization logo will be listed on newenglandforoffshorewind.org
- Organization name will be listed on Coalition letterhead

What is a Business Supporter?
Business Supporters are members of New England for Offshore Wind’s business alliance, Businesses for Offshore Wind (B4OSW). B4OSW is a strategic alliance of New England businesses and institutions that are committed to increasing responsibly developed offshore wind as an energy source in New England and that support New England for Offshore Wind principles and priorities. As a Business Supporter, you will:
- Be invited to participate in targeted opportunities for advocacy developed by the coalition to influence policymakers and government officials
- Receive regular monthly updates from the coalition to stay connected and informed about the dynamic policy landscape of offshore wind
- Be able to request to be added to coalition statements or actions noted in monthly updates
- Have your logo listed on the New England for Offshore Wind website. There is no fee to join
