New England for Offshore Wind is a collaborative, broad-based coalition that includes partners from a diverse array of organizations and communities across New England.

We are committed to combatting climate change by increasing the supply of clean energy to our regional grid through more procurements of responsibly developed offshore wind. We believe that offshore wind is the single biggest lever we can pull to address the climate crisis while also strengthening our regional economy, protecting ratepayers, improving public health by reducing pollution, and creating high-quality jobs and equitable access to economic opportunity. Our coalition aims to drive regional collaboration and increased ambition on offshore wind across states and ensure that projects come online in a timely and responsible way.

Core Values

  • Respect & Responsibility: We drive policy that ensures the responsible development of offshore wind that brings all stakeholders to the table to ensure people, the environment, and wildlife are treated with dignity and respect.

  • Equity: We support the development of offshore wind that benefits and is informed by the communities hardest-hit by climate change and that have been historically under-served and overburdened by energy pollution.
  • Economic Justice: We support the development of a clean, thriving, and fair economy that creates high-quality, family-sustaining jobs that ensure the right to organize and opportunities for under-served communities and workers impacted by the transition to clean energy.
